Tables

Rima

One single raw edge oak board, 2000-year- old subfossil wood from Central Europe, smoothly continuing from the top to the leg. Surface of the board is finished by natural oil/wax. The other leg is made of U-shaped iron 8 mm thick. Cracks and the changes in wood colour are inherent characteristics of subfossil oak and reflect the specific environmental conditions it comes from. The table comes with a certificate confirming the age of the wood used as established by dendrochronological and radiocarbon dating.

Weight 22 kg, dimensions: length 94 cm, width 50 cm, height 45 cm.

Cortex

The table is entirely made of 70 mm thick subfossil oak boards with brushed raw edges. Surface of the wood is finished by natural oil/wax. Cracks and the changes in wood colour are inherent characteristics of this 3500-year-old subfossil oak from Central Europe and reflect the specific environmental conditions it comes from. The table comes with a certificate confirming the age of the wood used as established by dendrochronological and radiocarbon dating.

Weight 54 kg, dimensions: length 115 cm, width 70 cm, height 28 cm.

Vena

Top of the table is made of several planks of 2000-year- old subfossil oak wood excavated in Central Europe. Black oak is combined with an iron trapezoid base with visible grinded weld joints. Surface of the top is finished by natural oil/wax. The table comes with a certificate confirming the age of the wood used as established by dendrochronological and radiocarbon dating.

Granum

The GRANUM table is made from subfossil oak wood and fine-grained white marble. Radiocarbon and dendrochronological dating proved age of the used subfossil wood to be over 2000 years. Usage of two natural materials: subfossil oak wood and fine-grained white marble comprises both harmony and contrast. These materials have the same natural environment of origin, as well as their thousand-year- long history. The high duality hand work makes the table stand out. The imperfections of wood are not eliminated; on the other hand, the wood is presented in its natural form including the colour variations and cracks. The detailing of the incision represents the imaginary ravages of time, highlighting the thousand-year- long process in contrast to the evanescence of human life and amplifying the timelessness of this piece.

Weight 170 kg, dimensions: length 110 cm, width 60 cm, height 40 cm.
